Review Summary:
The LELO Dot is a single-point stimulator that uses oscillation instead of vibrations. It does feel quite a bit different than er normal vibrator and it leaves you with a less desensitized clitoris after use.
I got to climax in such a short time that it’s crazy to think about!
Overall, a great sex toy that’s going to take your clitoris stimulation to the next level.
I recommend the LELO Dot if you’re after a high-quality powerful single-point stimulator.
LELO is known for its quality and for being on the forefront of sex toy development so it’s always exciting to give their new sex toys a test.
It arrived at my doorstep in a brown cardboard box with no content description on it which I liked.
Opening it up reveals a standard black LELO packaging box with a clear window with the Dot behind it.
I got the Aqua version but you can also get it in a Pink and a Lilac version.
A very nice satin sex toy bag is also included in the box and a small lube sample to get going.
There are no instructions included but they include a link to the manual, this saves a lot of paper which is awesome. You also get your Dot’s serial code so you can register it on LELO’s website for its warranty.
The included USB charging cable does require a USB-powered plug, I use an old phone charger but you can use whatever you have lying around.
Two LEDs light up when you plug it in the charger, they are bright which might be a problem if you try to charge it in your bedroom at night. It’s almost as if it’s trying to say “Hey look at me – I’m right over here ready to be used!”.
Just a small note about the way it plugs into the Dot; It’s meant to stick out a little so don’t try to force it in.
You should charge it for 2 hours if it’s completely drained – I could not find any information about the play time of the LELO Dot so I did a little battery test by setting it to full speed and continuing oscillation.
It stopped after just 20 minutes which was very disappointing but it turns out that it’s just a safety function. I turned it back on and left it running again and the total running time was around 2 hours which should be more than enough for several sessions.
The LELO Dot has 3 buttons on the side next to each other, the middle button is the on/off and the next oscillation pattern changer. You turn it on/off by pressing it for 3 seconds and you change the pattern with a single press when it’s turned on.
The two outer buttons are used to control the intensity of the oscillation in 8 different steps.
I was using the included lube from LELO on my first try and I used a surprisingly little lube compared to other vibrators.
I personally found the best way to hold the Dot was to put my ring and middle finger through the hole and then control the intensity and patterns with my thumb.
You get the most effect of the oscillation if the Dot just slightly touches your clitoris compared to if you put more pressure on it. It does however feel quite a lot different when you push it and it’s well worth a try if you want to mix things up.
One of the advantages of this type of vibrator is that you get all the stimulation in a single spot and this is felt. I could barely handle the second lowest intensity setting without reaching climax so fast and hard!
Pretty freaking wild!
The main selling point of the LELO Dot is focused clitoris stimulation but the oscillating tip feels pretty freaking great on lots of spots on my body.
I found myself using it on my neck when I was writing this review and I can only recommend that😊
Give it a try with a partner and explore each other’s body with the LELO Dot’s little magic tip.
A: No, you can use it to stimulate all areas of your body. It can even be used as a tickling device if you’re into that kind of stuff 😊
A: You should only use water-based lube, there is a small sample pack included with the device and more can be bought where you buy the Dot. Other water-based lubes work just as well.
A: Yes, the Dot is waterproof which comes in handy when cleaning it and if you get the urge while you’re in the shower. The oscillation does get a little weaker when submerged but I found it plenty for clitoris orgasms.
A: No, you need to hold the Dot to use it, so there would be no point in using your phone to control it.
A: I’ve tested the Zumio Xena which is the same style of sex toy as the LELO Dot but the quality and feel of the Zumio Xena are simply not even close to the LELO Dot.
It’s very unergonomic to use and it frankly looks like an electric toothbrush without the hairs on it. I would pick the Dot over the Zumio Xena anytime!
It has been a pleasure using the new LELO Dot the last couple of weeks and it definitely has some unique abilities that no other vibrator has.
It is however quite expensive and maybe not the best beginner sex toy but if you want to treat your clitoris with some serious stimulation then it’s the way go.
And Yes, it is the best single point stimulator right now!
I recommend the LELO Dot if you’re after a high-quality powerful single point stimulator.
